A tournament built for every ward in Migori
The Muok Ratego Cup is a flagship grassroots football competition designed to identify, nurture, and reward talent across every ward in Migori County. Powered by Mozzart in partnership with Treeco Fund, it pairs the passion of the beautiful game with a genuine commitment to reforestation and community development. With over 70% of Migori's population under the age of 30, the county is built on youthful energy — and this tournament is a platform for that talent to shine.
Three phases, one road to the crown
Match days run Saturdays, Sundays, weekdays, and public holidays. Matches run 90 minutes from constituency level (30-minute halves for early rounds if needed), at community grounds within each ward.
Ward playoffs

Every team plants 100 trees
Every team that joins pledges to plant 100 trees — a target of 10,000 trees countywide during the tournament. Treeco Fund and Mozzart supply free seedlings. Trees are planted at schools, playgrounds, health centers and markets. Each ward fixture day includes a pre-match environmental message, tree planting by captains and officials, and community cleanup. Finalists join a grand county tree-planting day.
